Terms of service

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the Aloutrip app and website, published by Aloutrip. Creating an account means you accept them without reservation. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the service.

2. What Aloutrip is

Aloutrip is a technical platform that connects drivers and travellers making the same journey so they can share the real cost of the road (fuel, tolls, ferry crossing). Aloutrip is not a transport operator, is not a party to the transport itself, and does not provide any commercial transport service: the price of a seat is capped based on distance and can never turn into a commercial fare.

3. Account and verification

• You must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate information and keep it up to date, and keep only one account.
• Identity verification (an ID document and a selfie holding it) is required before booking a ride.
• Driving licence verification is additionally required for drivers before publishing a ride or accepting a passenger.
• This check is carried out by a human team; it reduces risk but is not an absolute guarantee. It does not replace your own judgement: read the profile, the verification badges and the reviews before travelling.

4. Drivers’ commitments

• Hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle used and comply with the highway code of the countries crossed.
• Have valid vehicle insurance, and check with your insurer that it covers non-commercial carpooling (cost-sharing) before publishing a ride.
• Keep the vehicle in a roadworthy condition, describe the ride accurately (luggage, pets, meeting point) and never set a price above the cap shown in the app.
• Warn passengers as soon as possible of any delay or change, and honour an accepted booking except for a good reason communicated in time.

5. Passengers’ commitments

Be at the agreed meeting point on time, pay your seat in cash directly to the driver, behave respectfully towards the driver and other passengers, and accurately declare your luggage and any pet when booking.

6. Price and payment

The price of a seat is a cost share, capped according to distance by the app’s pricing rules; the driver can ask for less, never more. Payment is made in cash, directly between members, at departure. Aloutrip does not collect, hold or guarantee any payment and is not a party to it: any payment dispute is between the driver and the passenger.

7. Liability — Aloutrip is a technical intermediary only

The transport contract is formed directly between the driver and the passenger(s); Aloutrip is not a party to it and does not organise, supervise or perform the journey.

As a result, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aloutrip cannot be held liable for: delays, schedule changes or cancellations decided by a member; accidents and any resulting bodily or material damage occurring during a ride, which fall under the driver’s and members’ own insurance and the ordinary law of civil liability; and personal belongings forgotten, lost, damaged or stolen in the vehicle or during a ride.

This limitation does not apply to loss caused by Aloutrip’s own intentional misconduct or gross negligence in operating the platform itself (for example, its technical availability), as required by law.

Every driver is strongly advised to check that their insurance covers cost-sharing carpooling, and every member travels under their own responsibility and that provided for by the law applicable to them.

8. Prohibited conduct

• Providing false information or false documents, including for verification.
• Using the service to run a disguised commercial transport activity, or reselling seats for profit.
• Harassment, discrimination, threats or any behaviour endangering the safety of another member.
• Attempting to bypass the app to avoid the price cap or the verification.

9. Suspension and termination

Aloutrip may warn, suspend or close an account in case of a breach of these terms, false documents, a safety report confirmed after review, or misuse of the service. You may delete your account at any time from the app (Profile › Delete my account).

10. Intellectual property

The Aloutrip name, logo, texts, visual design and source code are protected. Any reproduction without written permission is prohibited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, in particular to reflect a change in the service or in the law. The date at the top shows the last update; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to first contact us to seek an amicable solution; failing that, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts under applicable law.
